Fog disrupts flight operations: 40 flights cancelled

ISLAMABAD: The flight operation has been badly affected by thick fog as 40 flights were canceled and dozens delayed in the last two days.
Flight operations to Lahore, Sialkot and other cities have been disrupted due to heavy fog. Forty flights were canceled today and tomorrow while six were diverted to other airports and dozens of others delayed.
An Emirates Air flight EK618 from Dubai to Sialkot could not land and returned to Dubai, while the PIA Doha-Lahore flight PK280 landed in Islamabad, while flights to Guangzhou, Jeddah and Dubai landed in Islamabad.
A flight from Karachi to Lahore was brought back to Karachi. According to the airport schedule, 15 flights to Lahore and various airports were cancelled today.
