Minister reviews Ring Road project

Rawalpindi : Provincial Minister for Primary and Secondary Healthcare and Population Welfare Punjab Dr. Jamal Nasir said that Rawalpindi Ring Road should be completed with ‘Mohsan Speed’ and that a plan has been chalked out to complete this project before the stipulated period, says a press release.

He said all needed funds will be provided for the project as Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi is personal supervising this project.

He expressed these views on the occasion of his visit to Rawalpindi Ring Road. Provincial Minister Dr Jamal Nasir made a detailed visit to Rawalpindi Ring Road on the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi. The provincial minister inspected the ongoing work at various places.

On this occasion, Dr. Jamal Nasir was given a detailed briefing regarding the project. The provincial minister expressed his satisfaction at the speed of work but directed to work at a faster pace. Speaking on the occasion, Provincial Minister Dr. Jamal Nasir said that the NOC of Railways will be received from the federal government soon and all necessary support will be available. He said leveling of the road is going fast by completely destroying the bushes from the Ring Road route. He said that Ring Road is the flagship project of Rawalpindi and there will be no compromise on the speed of work. The 38.8 km road will solve the long-standing traffic problem in Rawalpindi. The Ring Road will be a six-lane road. Traffic will move at a speed of 120 km per hour. 538 heavy machinery including 239 dumpers, 85 excavators and 80 rollers are working on the project.
