Hyderabad: A 22-year-old woman was shot dead in the name of honour in Shah Latif Colony near Halanaka in Hyderabad.
According to Investigation Officer and Pinjari Police Station SHO Mumtaz Brohi, the young woman, Iqra, was shot and killed by her cousin in the name of honour.
The body was shifted to a hospital where a post-mortem examination was conducted.
The killer, Ali Akbar, was the cousin and brother-in-law of Iqra, the officer said, adding that he shot her twice outside her house on Wednesday evening.The young woman died on the spot. SHO Brohi said the police were trying to arrest the killer.
Due to breakdown, power was cut off in Mall Road, Jhikagali, Bhurban, Expressway and other areas
