PESHAWAR: The Ghazi Economic Zone was formally launched on a commercial basis with the laying of foundation stone of two industrial units on Friday.
In this connection a ceremony was held at the economic zone with KP Caretaker Minister for Industries, Commerce, Technical Education and Tribal Affairs Dr Syed Aamer Abdullah as chief guest, said a handout.
Chief executive officer (CEO) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zones Development & Management Company (KP-EZDMC), Javed Iqbal Khattak, senior management of the company and local investors attended the launching ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, Caretaker Minister for Industries, Commerce, Technical Education and Tribal Affairs, Dr Syed Aamer Abdullah said that though the time-period of the caretaker set-up was brief, they would honour all commitments made with the investors.
