LWMC ensures best cleanliness on Christmas
LAHORE:A Christmas cake-cutting ceremony was organised at the Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) head office on Friday.
Besides a large number of Christian employees, LWMC Chief Executive Officer Babar Sahib Din and senior officers, including deputy CEOs, GM operation, GM HR and deputy GM operation attended the ceremony.
Additionally, as a yearly tradition, LWMC will host a festive cake-cutting event for its Christian employees at Hazoori Bagh on Saturday (today). According to LWMC spokesperson Umar Ch, the Christmas cake-cutting events were held at all LWMC workshops, including Outfall Workshop, Children Workshop and Thokar Workshop.
LWMC CEO actively participated in all ceremonies, fostering a sense of inclusion among the workforce. Prayers were offered in these ceremonies for the country's security and enduring peace, emphasising the company's broader community engagement.
Talking on this occasion, LWMC CEO expressed his company's commitment to sharing the joy of Christmas with its Christian employees. Every effort is being made to ensure thorough cleanliness arrangements for the occasion, and citizens are urged to collaborate with LWMC during this significant festival for the Christian community, he added.
He said that people should always dispose of waste in designated bins to uphold city cleanliness. Citizens are also encouraged to collaborate by reaching out to LWMC's helpline at 1139 or utilising social media to address cleanliness-related concerns.
Christmas cake-cutting ceremony
University of Engineering and Technology (UET) organised a Christmas cake-cutting ceremony for its Christian employees here on Friday.
UET Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Habib-ur-Rehman participated as chief guest in the ceremony. Addressing the ceremony Prof Habib-ur-Rehman congratulated the Christian employees and the Christian community and expressed his gratitude for their services.
The VC acknowledged the role of Christian employees in the university. He stressed the equality and promoting harmony among all the employees and said that Islam ensures equal respect and rights to all people belonging to any religion. The Registrar and all staff members of the Estate Office attended the ceremony.
