Sanjrani to contest polls

ISLAMABAD: Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani has reportedly decided to contest the general elections and run for a National Assembly seat from NA-260, Chagai district, and a Balochistan Assembly seat from PB-32.
Sanjrani, who was elected second time as chairman of the Upper House of the Parliament in March 2021, is to complete his second stint in March next year.
He is a senior leader of the Balochistan Awami Party and will be taking part in elections from this party’s platform. Presently, two former chairmen of the Senate, Mian Raza Rabbani and Farooq H Naek, are members of the House of Federation.
