LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Sirajul Haq said on Thursday that international establishment was active in Pakistan.

He said that the US envoy held meetings with the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC), visited Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan so that the agents of the international establishment might not face defeat in election and a revolutionary might not win the elections. JI Amir said that current obsolete system would be destroyed on February 8 and the people of the country would win.

Sirajul Haq expressed these views while addressing labour convention at Railways Headquarters. Railways PREM Union organised the convention. Secretary General Ameerul Azim, Deputy Secretary General Muhammad Asghar, Secretary Information Qaisar Sharif, JI Lahore Amir Ziauddin Ansari, Advocate Chaudhry Abdul Ahad, President PREM Union Sheikh Anwar, Secretary PREM union Khair Muhammad Tonio and other leaders were also present on the occasion.

Sirajul Haq said the US wanted that those people who are loyal to it should remain in power but people do not like the consistency of same parties in the politics.

He also opposed selling off Pakistan Railways and other national institutions and added that Railways is a transport which is used by the poor people but it was destroyed by mafia. Like all other institutions Ministry of Finance should take the responsibility of providing salaries to the employees.

He went on to say that 12,000 employees working on contractual basis should be regularised and vacant posts should be filled with the children of labourers on merit.

He said, “Taking pensions is the right of employees. Timely provision of salaries and pensions should be ensured.”
