Elahi’s lawyers Abdul Raziq and others appeared in the court. When Elahi came to the rostrum, the judge inquired how he was. Elahi told the judge Khan Sahib “admires you a lot”. The judge said he was trying to work on merit and adjourned the hearing till February 15. The court allowed Elahi to meet his lawyers and others in a separate room.

Later, talking to media at the judicial complex, Sh Rashid said Elahi was the PTI president. He was grateful to Elahi for his support. He would never commit treason and never gave a statement against anyone. He stands with his party.

In Lahore, a judicial magistrate extended the judicial remand of Parvez Elahi till January 4 in the case of illegal recruitment in the Punjab Assembly. Parvez Elahi was not presented before court upon completion of his judicial remand. Jail officials submitted Pervaiz Elahi’s warrant in the court. The Anti-Corruption Establishment had filed the case against Parvez Elahi and others.
