Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Traffic Police has finalized arrangements for a smooth flow of traffic in Murree and to avoid an untoward incident during the winter season particularly when there is snowfall in the hill station.
On directives of the City Police Officer Rawalpindi Syed Khalid Hamdani and Chief Traffic Officer Taimur Khan, a special traffic plan has been decided to facilitate tourists coming from different parts of the country.
In this connection, in all 163 traffic police personnel will perform duties while five pickets Satra Meel Toll Plaza, Expressway Toll Plaza, Lower Topa, Gheka Galli, and Barian have also been established.
Apart from traffic counting at these pickets, those vehicles having fitness certificates and drivers with driving licenses would be allowed entry and in case of rush in Murree, the traffic would be diverted.
