FAISALABAD: Former federal minister Humayun Akhtar Khan on Wednesday submitted his nomination papers as a candidate of the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) from NA-97, Faisalabad.
Talking to the media, he said that NA-97 was among the most backward areas of Faisalabad where roads were dilapidated, and drinking water and sewage facilities were non-existent. He said that the area youth were suffering from unemployment and pledged to create employment opportunities. “I would improve the road network alongside solving the problems of farmers,” he said.
Humayun said that apart from providing basic education and health facilities in the constituency, he would establish technical education institutions. He said that his association with this constituency and the people was decades old and he had been playing a role in solving their problems for a long time.
