The victim had been shot. After the legal formalities, the body was transferred to a morgue where on Wednesday morning, he was identified. Gulshan-e-Maymar SHO Waqar Qaiser said the deceased youth had been missing since December 16, and a report regarding his disappearance had been filed at the Super Highway police station.

The youth left home on a motorcycle on the evening of December 16 but did not return. On Tuesday night, the body was found near the Afghan Camp graveyard, with a bullet wound in the face.

The officer said the victim had left home with a mobile phone and a motorcycle, both of which were missing, and efforts were being made to locate them. After completing legal formalities, the police handed over the body to the heirs.

The father of the deceased revealed that they had gone to the Site Superhighway Industrial Area police station to complain about the youth’s disappearance, but no FIR was registered. He said the police kept sending them back to the station repeatedly.

The youth was also pursuing education. The family claims to have no enmity with anyone. The father demanded justice from the authorities, expressing dissatisfaction at the police's handling of their complaint. "My son Sajid went to buy some items on the evening of the December 16 at 6pm. After several hours passed without his return, I went to the Site Superhighway Police Station, but they said there is no SHO,” said the ill-fated father. “The police kept making me run around," he lamented.

"Today, I received a call from the Maymar police station informing me that a body had been found. When I reached, I saw that it was my son's body,” the man said.
