Seven girl schools get solar systems

JHANG: Installation of solar systems in seven model girls’ primary schools of different rural areas has been completed.
Talking to reporters on Tuesday, District Education Officer (Elementary Education Women) Kausar Nasim Ramay said installation of solar systems in remaining nine out of 16 schools was in progress speedily in the district. She said during a survey it was pointed out that electricity could not be accorded to 16 schools of different villages because of long distance of Fesco/ Wapda electricity power lines and keeping this thing in view solar systems were approved. The DEO said solar system installation in government girls model primary schools, Chak Hamza, Chak 485, Chak 269/2, Chak Dolat Khan, Shah Jala Bukhari, Behar Wali and Jungel Katora have been completed by utilizing Rs 25,000 for each system. She said the deputy district education officers (women) of tehsils Jhang, Shorkot, Ahmed Pur Sial and 18 Hazari, assistant education officers (women) and head of schools have been directed to ensure care and safety and security of the systems.
GRANT FOR PATIENT: On behalf of Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, MPA Mian Azam Chela along with the Assistant Commissioner Tuesday presented an approval letter of Rs 240,375 grant for a patient for liver transplant.
Ghulam Abbas Khan of Bela Surbana of tehsil Shorkot had appealed to the CM about financial assistance for liver transplant of his son Javed Abbas. The CM approved the same and, through a directive, asked the MPA Mian Azam Chela to personally visit the village to present the approval letter to the patient.
