LAHORE:Lahore High Court (LHC) has stopped FIA from taking any disciplinary action against Khadija Shah.
Justice Ali Baqir Najafi heard Khadija Shah’s plea against money-laundering inquiry in FIA. Lawyer Samir Khosa had taken a stand in the court that FIA had not received any complaint in this regard. This is not an FIR it is an inquiry. This is a suo motu inquiry; any inquiry is based on any information, there are five things in this inquiry that are out of the routine and no one has come forward to complain.
Khadija Shah got bail in four cases then was arrested and taken to Quetta, the lawyer said. He requested for temporarily staying this inquiry. He said that parties should be prevented from re-detaining Khadija Shah. FIA has been made party to the petition. Samir Khosa added that Khadija Shah was arrested in various cases after getting bail she was arrested in one new case after another.
FIA started money laundering inquiry on the basis of malicious intent, he said. The lawyer requested the court declare money-laundering inquiry illegal. Later, the court adjourned the hearing until December 22.
