ISLAMABAD: Hashoo Group and Dewan Motors Pvt. Ltd., the country's authorized BMW importer, have teamed up to boost the electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure in Pakistan, the companies said on Tuesday.
The partnership will see the installation of BMW AC chargers for EVs at Hashoo Group's hotels and resorts across Pakistan, including the Pearl-Continental, PC Legacy and Hotel One brands.
The chargers will be compatible with vehicles that follow European standards, allowing a wide range of EVs to use them. The initiative aims to promote green mobility and reduce carbon emissions in Pakistan, which has committed to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050 and the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals 2030. An agreement signing ceremony was held in Islamabad, attended by senior executives from both companies.
