LAHORE: Some Pakistan Muslim Leauge-Nawaz (PMLN) and Pakistan Sunni Tehreek (PST) leaders on Monday called on Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party President Abdul Aleem Khan and announced joining the IPP with all their companions.

Former Union Council chairmen Dildar Chauhan, Zafar Khan, Jamaat Ali Shah and Nadeem Shamshad were among those who joined the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party. All of them belong to NA-119 and PP-149.

Aleem said his services in the area and track record of giving ownership rights to Kutchi Abadis and forming a network of developmental projects would continue in the future.

He said he believed in serving the masses for which the Abdul Aleem Khan Foundation was carrying on welfare projects even in constituencies not related to him.

He said his Foundation was ensuring provision of clean drinking water and proper washrooms in all government schools and places of worship in NA-119. His party’s manifesto is a challenge to other political parties as “we intend to give maximum relief to people through available resources so that they get rid of miseries and enjoy a prosperous life”.
