Notice in acting NAB DGs case

LAHORE
The Lahore High Court on Tuesday issued notice to the secretary establishment and National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on a petition challenging appointment of acting directors general of NAB in Lahore, Karachi, Multan and Balochistan.
A local resident Idrees Talib filed the petition challenging the appointment of Syed Burhan. Petitioner counsel said that according to prevalent law no person could be appointed acting DG for a period of more than six months. He said that it was an unlawful appointment and was causing serious problems in working and business of the department. He requested to issue directions for permanent director general at these stations.
