KARACHI: The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority has established the National Cyber Security Operation Center to secure sensitive data.
Cyber Security Director General Dr. Mukram Khan said in a special conversation that the National Cyber Security Center had been activated and its purpose was to proactively detect and stop the cyber attacks on the telecom sector.
Dr. Makram said that Pakistan had faced most cyber attacks in the last decade. “Enemy countries are targeting Pakistan and cyber security problems have increased with the advent of social media.” He said that social media companies in other countries, including the European
Union, had been registered. We will ensure local hosting of data of Pakistanis in the satellite licence, he added.
