The Supreme Court’s decision to not allow any further postponement of the next elections is laudable. Since the country has already passed the due deadline of the general elections, further delay is not favourable for the country’s economy, political stability, and international image.
Any further postponement in the elections will worsen the already struggling economy and obstruct the inflow of foreign direct investment (FDI). Moreover, further delaying elections will also fuel political instability.
