QWP hails announcement of schedule for polls

PESHAWAR: The Qaumi Watan Prty (QWP) on Saturday welcomed the announcement of the schedule for the upcoming general election slated for February 8 next year and said the party would fully participate in the polls.

A press release said that QWP provincial Chairman Sikandar Hayat Khan Sherpao chaired a meeting of the party’s provincial chapter’s office-bearers at its secretariat Watan Kor.

The meeting discussed a four-point agenda that included the QWP’s strategy for the next general election and mobilization of the party workers and organizations across the province. The meeting discussed the overall political situation in the province with regard to the next general election.
