Islamabad : Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM), in its commitment to transparency across all programmes and improving the system for scrutiny of applicants’ data, has taken multiple initiatives to enhance collaboration with other institutions. In this regard, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed at the Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal headquarters, incorporating an unprecedented Income Support Programme with the aim of further improving and simplifying the Beneficiary Data Management System, says a press release.
Managing Director of Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal, Amir Fida Paracha, and Dr. Naveed Akbar, DG National Socio Economic Registry, were present at the signing of the agreement.
It is important to note that the Benazir Income Support Programme has organised data of individuals living below the poverty line through third-party surveys nationwide, which will now be accessible to Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal under this agreement. This will not only boost the morale of those receiving dual assistance but will also assist in identifying eligible individuals. Additionally, Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal will be connected with the National Socioeconomic Registry (NSER) system of BISP and its field staff will also be able to conduct surveys to identify eligible individuals when necessary, using tabs directly linked with NSER data.
In his message, Managing Director Amir Fida Paracha acknowledged this progressive step as a significant milestone in institutional partnership and expressed gratitude to Chairman Benazir Income Support Program, Dr. Amjad Saqib, for the collaboration and cooperation.
