Islamabad: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has retrieved huge property – commercial and residential of Evacuee Trust (ET), illegally occupied by the land grabbing mafia to the tune of Rs6 billion during the last three months, FIA said.
The Apex Court ordered the FIA in a suo moto notice to get back the prized commercial and residential property occupied by the influential people. Raiding parties were constituted under the supervision of Deputy Director Anti-Corruption Afzal Khan Niazi to evacuate the ET land and entrust to the trust.
The FIA team conducted raids at Rawalpindi, Attock and Fateh Jang and evacuated 112 acre, 9 kanal and 14 marlas worth 6,400,290,000 and submitted report before the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
As 15 acre, 3 kanal and 2 marla property worth Rs5 billion, 459 million was retrieved from Rawalpindi and 97 acre, 6 kanal and 12 marlas to the tune of Rs589.390 million were evacuated from Hassan Abdal.
