ISLAMABAD: The federal government has appointed Mohammad Usman Chachar to the important post of Managing Director of Printing Corporation of Pakistan. It was lying vacant for the past three weeks.
Usman Chachar is a Grade-22 officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service and was OSD in the Establishment Division. This post was vacated after Nadeem Irshad Kayani was appointed Secretary Inter-Provincial Coordination Division on November 24. The appointment assumes importance in the context of printing election material for the general elections scheduled for February 8. The election material is printed by the PCP.
Many more officers of the federal bureaucracy have been appointed and transferred. DG Pakistan Institute of Parliamentary Services Islamabad Mohammad Amir Khalil has been transferred and posted as DG Admin in CDA. He has been appointed on deputation for three years. DG Admin Muhammad Shahbaz has been appointed as DG Vigilance Unit CDA and DG HRD Qaiser Khattak as DG Environment CDA. Director Security and Security Board CDA Syed Safdar Ali Shah has been appointed DG HRD. He has also been given the additional charge of Director of Security and Security Board CDA.
Shakeel Ahmed Talpur has been appointed Director Benazir Income Support Programme Sindh Region. He was an Associate Professor, the Department of College Education. Dr Qamar Iqbal, Women Medical Officer Department of Primary and Secondary Healthcare THQ Hospital, has been appointed as Woman Medical Officer PIMS Hospital Islamabad. Deputy Manager State Life Insurance Corporation Hamiduddin Shah has been appointed as Deputy Director Benazir Income Support Programme Sindh Region. Information Officer Press Information Department Mahnoor Ali has been appointed Assistant Director Investment Board. All four officers have been appointed on deputation for three years. Pakistan Administrative Service Grade-18 officer Shahryar Arif Khan has been posted in CDA on deputation. The Establishment Division has issued notification for these appointments and transfers.
