LAHORE: A delegation of Sundas Welfare Foundation called on the IGP Punjab on Thursday. Talking to the delegation, the IGP said the Punjab police was providing Rs15,000 per month to thalassemia-hit children of their employees. He said under the project Hamaray Phool, health cooperation is being extended to more than 2,600 special children.
The IGP said previously Punjab police personnel donated 8,000 blood bags to Sundas Foundation.Meanwhile, the IGP Punjab Thursday visited Police Lines Qila Gujar Singh and reviewed the construction work of the day care centre for the children of cops.
CCPO reviews police working
Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Bilal Siddique Kamyana Thursday reviewed police performance of Civil Lines and City divisions at his office. The CCPO attributed the reduction in crime rate to the timely intervention of police. Addressing the meeting, the CCPO asked police officers to intensify the crackdown on drug peddlers, motorcycle lifter gangs, habitual thieves, dacoits, and POs. A special squad was proposed to protect early morning traders in the meeting.
