Thousands of tenants booked in Okara

OKARA: Police booked more than 4,000 tenants on different charges, including blocking road and injuring policemen, here.
On the report of Sadr SHO Inspector Abdullah Yousaf, a case was registered against more than 2,000 tenants, including Abdul Jabbar, Asghar Ali, Muhammad Munir, Nadeem Abbas, Ghulam Ali, Muhammad Siddique and Muhammad Ashraf, of the Military Farms Okara (MFO) villages.
They were booked on the charges of trying to block GT Road and injuring policewomen Malka Zehra, Aliya, SIs Akbar Javed, Saee Khan and Constables Arshad and Tauseef. A case has been registered under sections 324, 353, 436, 186, 337-L2, F2, 290, 291, 148 and 149 of PPC, 16 MPO and 7 ATA.
Likewise, on the report of Cantonment SHO Inspector Ashraf Qureshi, a case was registered against 2,000 tenants, including Abdus Sattar Chaman, Ghulam Ali, Asghar, Husnain Ahmad, Yousaf, Ashraf, Haji Latif, and Siddique, of the MFO villages. They were booked on the charges of damaging police vehicles, aerial firing and burning crops in the fields. A case has been registered under sections 427, 324, 155, 154, 353, 186, 504, 426, 148 and 149 of PPC, 16 MPO, Amended Arms Ordinance 13/20/65 and 7 ATA,
