LAHORE: Post Graduate Medical Institute & Ameer Uddin Medical College Principal Prof Dr Al-Fareed Zafar said that under the new policy of Punjab govt, the family of Grade 16 employee M Ramzan, who died during service in Lahore General Hospital, will be given Rs15 million instead of Rs25 lakh as financial assistance package.
The family of the deceased will also be entitled to withdraw his salary and other benefits till the age of retirement.
Prof Al-Fareed Zafar said this while talking to APCA President Abid Hussain, and other officials of APCA Unit, LGH Tuesday. He said that CM Mohsin Naqvi has given a multifold increase in the financial assistance package for the employees who died during service.
Prof Al-Fareed also constituted a committee under the chairmanship of LGH MS for timely payment of dues to the family of deceased employee and handle all matters as per rules and regulations promptly.
