‘PPP ready for upcoming elections’
PESHAWAR: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) KP Women Wing President Senator Rubina Khalid on Tuesday said that her party had launched its election campaign while others were running from the polls.
Speaking at a press conference here, she said that leaders of other political parties were looking for excuses to get the election postponed. She said that PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari would soon visit Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to address a convention of the women PPP workers in Peshawar.
The PPP leader said that her party chairman recently held successful political gatherings in Peshawar. She said that other political leaders were making excuses on the pretext of security or weather to get the election postponed.
However, she said that PPP was ready for the election and it wanted the holding of the free, fair and transparent election on time. She said that the PPP would win the next general election and form its government. She said that the PPP would take steps to address the issue of inflation and unemployment. The PPP leader said that her party had a history of serving the masses and would do so in future.
