Post of PCP MD lying vacant
ISLAMABAD: Although the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced the general elections on February 8, the regular schedule is also expected to be announced next week, the post of the Managing Director of the Printing Corporation of Pakistan (PCP) is currently lying vacant.
According to sources, MD Printing Corporation of Pakistan Nadeem Irshad Kayani was transferred on December 24 and was posted as as the Secretary Inter-Provincial Coordination Division.
Despite the passage of ten days, this post is lying vacant and the process of preparing the materials for the election is being affected which includes constituency gazette, voter lists, ballot papers and other materials.
According to sources, the posts of Director Finance and Secretary have been lying vacant for a long time. The decision-making process of the institution is being adversely affected due to the three important posts being lying vacant.
PCP Employees Union General Secretary Rana Tahir Ayub has also expressed his concern over this situation and has demanded the caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar prevent the election process from being affected. He also called upon the PM to make appointments against all the three post so that printing process should be initiated for the election.
