On the directions of DIG Azfar Mahesar of East Range, the police conducted a search operation in Quaid-e-Azam Colony and Rajput Colony late on Friday night and verified particulars of suspicion people.
Officials said on Saturday that more than 200 personnel, including policewomen and officers, participated in the operation, which was carried out. The areas were cordoned off by a heavy contingent of police. The cops searched houses, shops, hotels and other closed suspicious places by sealing the entry and exit points of the areas. During the operation, records of suspects were checked through biometric verification.
“There will be no compromise on illegal, foreigners and criminals,” said DIG East Ghulam Azfar Mahesar. The search operation against criminals and foreigners living illegally in the East district was carried out to deal with illegal foreign-based and criminal elements.
The operation was carried out around the Shopper Plaza, Abul Hasan Ispahani Road, within the limits of the Sachal police station.
Meanwhile, the CTD conducted an information-based operation with police in Malir’s Labour Square and Madrasa Dar-ul-Quran areas. The operation was carried out at two locations in the Sukhan police station. At least, 75 suspects were checked through advanced search apps. Two suspects were handed over to the Sukhan police station.
