QUETTA: Seven armed men were killed in an operation carried out by security forces in the Dera Bugti district of Balochistan, official sources said on Wednesday.
“On information about the presence of terrorists, the Frontier Corps launched a search operation in the Haidri Nullah of Pir Koh area of Dera Bugti district,” an FC spokesman said. The armed men hiding in the Nullah opened fire at the raiding team. Security forces repulsed the attack, killing seven armed men instantly.
Arms and ammunition, including 30 kg of explosives, 20 IEDs, 20 boxes of ball bearings, 30 detonators, four SMGs, one rocket launcher and five metre wire were also recovered. The terrorists were involved in attacking gas pipelines and other government installations.
