Police on Thursday arrested eight men for allegedly chanting slogans against the state. The arrests were made by the South zone police, with the help of CCTV footage.
According to police, the arrested persons had raised slogans against the state during a protest demonstration outside the Karachi Press Club.
Most of the suspects were apprehended in the Sohrab Goth area. Police said that they were making efforts to arrest the remaining people who part of the anti-state sloganeering. An FIR was registered at the Artillery Maidan police station, while further investigation was underway.
