LAHORE: Former prime minister and PMLN President Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday met PMLN Balochistan President Jaffar Khan Mandokhail.
Saad Rafique, Ayaz Sadiq and Malik Muhammad Ahmed were present in the meeting. Consultations were held regarding organizational matters and preparations for the upcoming general elections.
Political strategies for elections in Balochistan were discussed. “Balochistan is our heart, our soul, we consider the progress of Balochistan as an integral requirement for the progress of Pakistan,” Shehbaz said.
“If given another opportunity, we will spread the network of educational institutions including science schools across the entire country. Balochistan will be the focal point of national economic development in the future,” he said. Mandokhail congratulated Shehbaz over PMLN Quaid Nawaz Sharif’s acquittal in the Avenfield reference.
Later, in a statement, Shehbaz condemned a blast on the Warsak Road, Peshawar. Expressing sympathy for injured children and their parents, he declared terrorists enemies of every Pakistani. He asserted that eradicating terrorists was the collective resolve of Pakistan. He prayed for the swift recovery of the injured children.
