LAHORE: Organised Crime Unit (OCU) arrested three members of a dacoit gang involved in depriving a Sikh family of valuables.
SP Organised Crime Unit (OCU) South Aftab Phularwan while speaking to journalists at OCU Model Town said that the arrested suspects were identified as Shahrukh, Rehana Shahrukh and Irfan. He said that the arrested suspects were foreign nationals. They would conduct snatching bids with Sikh yatrees and inform a hostile agency to defame Pakistan. A uniform of a government institution was also recovered from their custody.
Meanwhile, the Indian Sikh family met with Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman at the Civil Secretariat and IGP Tuesday and thanked the Punjab government for arresting the accused and recovering the loot. The CS ensured them that such an unpleasant incident would not happen in future. DIG Operations Ali Nasir Rizvi said that the Punjab police arrested them from Karachi within four days with the help of PSCA and private CCTV cameras.
Two TikTokers held
Liaqatabad Police have arrested two suspects who would conduct bids to make videos for TikTok.
They were identified as Waseem Khan alias Sajid and Zahid. Police also recovered weapon and a bike from their custody. The suspects would conduct robbery bids to make videos for social media and TikTok. Meanwhile, Safe City cameras captured the suspected thief who had snatched money from a pizza delivery boy here Tuesday. The accused had come to buy pizza, and while paying, he snatched the money from the delivery boy and escaped. The delivery boy reported the incident to the Safe City 15 Emergency Helpline. The PSCA team directed Faisal Town Police to reach the spot. The PSCA spokesperson stated that the investigating officer arrested the accused and recovered the stolen money.
Meanwhile, Gulshan-e-Ravi police arrested two suspected robbers. They were identified as Haider and Arif. Police also recovered two pistols and bullets, a motorbike, cash and five mobile phones from their custody.
Suspect attempts suicide
A suspect in custody of Raiwind Police reportedly attempted suicide. The victim Zunair arrested by police in a case reportedly attempted suicide by slitting his throat with a sharp edged weapon. He was shifted to hospital. His family alleged that the victim was tortured and police were using the suicide tactics to cover up the whole issue.
