Five held on terror financing charge
PESHAWAR: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) has arrested five people on terror financing charges.
A CTD official said an Anti-Terrorist Court on Monday rejected the bail to the accused.
He said the CTD had arrested four accused and registered a Terror Financing/ Illegal Foreign Currency Case against them vide FIR No. 216 u/s 3/4 AMLA, 11 F2, 11OOO, 11 N and 7 ATA.
The official said 175000 euros,15400 US dollars and 44000 euros were allegedly recovered from them. The official added the accused were produced before the court to seek 12 days remand.
“During investigation, on their pointation, another accused Jehanzeb was arrested who was involved in supplying illegal foreign currency. The CTD recovered 23,500 euros and Rs 2,644,220 from his possession,” said the official.
