SUKKUR: Sindhi Culture Day was celebrated on Sunday across the province with a theme ‘let’s come to rebuild Sindh’.
With traditional clothing, folk songs and rallies, the natives of Sindh presented ‘Topi and Ajrak’ to each other as a gesture of goodwill.
Sukkur, Khairpur, Shikarpur, Naushroferoze, Moro, Larkana, Dadu, Ghotki, Hyderabad, Mith, Tharparkar, Ummarkot, Badin, and Sanghar witnessed hustle-bustle on the day as the people celebrated the day with traditional fervor.
Special programs were held in schools and colleges in different cities of the province to display the traditional cultural items. The day not only highlighted the culture of Sindh, but it also brought source of revenue for daily wagers. The day witnessed colorful events, including large rallies and motorcade caravans. Journalist Mumtaz Bukhari said the day conveys the message of love with Sindh, its traditions and culture, adding all communities in Sindh celebrate the day.
