A young woman lost her life in a firing incident in the Orangi Town area on Sunday. Police said the firing incident took place during a quarrel on a street, resulting in the death of an 18-year-old young woman, Farah.
Her family informed the police that they were all sitting inside their house, and Farah went to the kitchen to make tea when they heard a quarrel outside and the sound of gunfire, following which the she fell down.
When they approached her, they found her bleeding profusely, the family said, adding that they rushed Farah to a hospital where doctors confirmed her death. In the initial investigations by the police, it was revealed that the firing took place during a quarrel in the street, and Farah was caught in the crossfire, leading to her death inside the house. The police shifted the body to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities. A case has been registered and investigations are under way.
