Naseem completes rehabilitation, joins Islamabad United
LAHORE: Pakistani fast bowler Naseem Shah has successfully completed his rehabilitation following surgery on his right shoulder earlier this year. The 20-year-old pacer took to Instagram to announce his recovery and express gratitude to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and his medical team.
Naseem Shah sustained the shoulder injury during the Asia Cup, forcing him to miss the remainder of the tournament and the subsequent World Cup. His absence was a significant blow to Pakistan’s bowling lineup.
With his recovery complete, Naseem Shah is now ready to resume his cricketing career. On Saturday, a video shared by Islamabad showed Naseem join a new franchise in the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) season.
Naseem Shah has now moved from Quetta Gladiators to Islamabad United in a major trade deal. Abrar Ahmed and Mohammad Wasim Jnr are expected to move in the opposite direction, joining Quetta Gladiators.
The PSL Player Draft 2024 is scheduled to take place on December 13, 2023, in Lahore. PSL 9 is tentatively scheduled from February 8 to March 24, 2024.
