LAHORE:12-year-old boy was raped in Raiwind City Police area. The suspect identified as Waqas reportedly had lured the victim Faizan to a room and raped him. As the victim’s family lodged a complaint before police, a case was registered and the suspect was arrested. The suspect was handed over to Gender Based Crime Cell for further investigations.
Quartet arrested for abducting girl for ransom
Investigations Police Iqbal Town has arrested four suspects involved in abduction of an 18-year-old girl for ransom.
Lahore SSP Investigations Anoush Masood Chaudhry escorted by senior police officers while speaking to media persons at Qila Gujjar Singh Police said that the arrested suspects have been identified as Hamza, Talha, Afzal and Ambreen.
They had abducted a 2nd year student Sumaviya for a ransom of 30 million rupees.
Hamza and Sumaviya were class fellows, she said. In another case, Nishter Colony investigations police solved a blind murder case of a 25-year-old man. The victim Sharun Khan alias Pomi was shot dead by the unidentified suspects. A blind murder case was registered and police after investigations arrested the suspect Zeeshan, his cousin. The victim had a dispute with the suspect’s mother a year back. He had attacked her with a sharp edged knife and left her injured. The suspect had developed a grudge against him and murdered him, Anoush said.
Trio arrested for murdering a man
Organised Crime Unit (OCU) Kidnapping for Ransom Cell has arrested three suspects involved in murder of a man after abduction for honour.
DSP Mian Anjum Toqeer said that the suspects identified as Ali Abbas, Bushra Bibi and Surayya Bibi had abducted the victim Ali Raza and dumped his body in fields in Sharaqpur Sharif after murder. He said that the suspects doubted Ali had illicit relations with the daughter of Bushra Bibi. A case was registered against the suspects. Police after investigations spotted the suspects and solved the case using technology and other resources, Toqeer added.
Illegal weapons recovered from car
A team of National Highways and Motorways Police (NH&MP) has recovered heavy cache of illegal weapons from a car near Sial Mor on M-2 and arrested a suspect identified as Abdul Mannan, a Mardan resident.
DIG Syed Farhad Ali Shah told media at NH&MP regional headquarters at Babu Sabu that a team had noticed a car punctured and parked on a roadside. As they approached the car, the suspects riding the car fled from the scene. When they checked it, they recovered heavy cache of ammunition including 18 guns, 140 pistols, one SMG, two triple two and 26,000 bullets. The car was heading towards Lahore, Farhad said.
