LAHORE:The PDWP approved six development schemes of emergency service, road & bridges, sport & irrigation sector at an estimated cost of Rs9.504 billion.
Planning and Development (P&D) Board Chairman Iftikhar Ali Sahoo chaired the meeting. The approved schemes included strengthening of Emergency Services in all districts of Punjab at the cost of Rs756.851 million, construction of Arifwala Bypass at the cost of Rs784.908 million, construction of Interchange on Khanewal-Lodhran Road at the cost of Rs2.731 million, provision of Cricket High Performance Headquarters one at Faisalabad at the cost of Rs1.245 billion, Centre at Divisional Provision of Cricket High-Performance Headquarters one at Sialkot at the cost of Rs1.323 billion, Centre at District Performance & Conveyance Efficiency-II Concrete Lining of Irrigation Channels to Improve Water Delivery performance & conveyance efficiency at the cost of Rs2.663 billion.
Meanwhile, P&D Board Chairman Iftikhar Ali Sahoo visited the development project sites of the controlled access corridor from Niazi interchange to Saggian interchange and from Saggian interchange to Babu Sabu interchange. LDA Chief Engineer Asrar Saeed briefed the Chairman P&D Board about the progress in two mega projects at Babu Sabu. The chairman P&D emphasised the timely completion of these projects.
