LAHORE: Punjab Ombudsman Major Azam Suleman Khan (r), while taking action on public complaints, has retrieved total of 372 kanals and 3 Marla government land worth more than Rs110 million.
Various complainants from across the province filed a complaint with the office of the Ombudsman regarding encroachment, illegal occupation and illegal cultivation of the government land and requested that the government land be retrieved.
Ombudsman ordered the provincial officers concerned to reclaim the land at Toba Tek Singh, Bhakkar, Mianwali, Jhang, Bahawalpur, Kasur, Dera Ghazi Khan and Burewala as per the rules of the provincial government. A total of 372 kanals and 3 Marla area has been sold, the market value of which is Rs110,430,850.
