In the midst of the harrowing fire that engulfed RJ Shopping Mall on a Saturday morning, Muhammad Amir emerged as an unsung hero.
Responding to his son Abdus Subhan's distress call about the fire, Amir courageously risked his life to rescue around 25 people trapped in the blazing mall. Subhan, who worked at a call centre on the fourth floor along with friends, alerted his father to the flames and smoke engulfing the building.
Amir, undeterred by the perilous conditions, rushed to the scene and, at great personal risk, saved not only his son but also several others.
Subhan recounted the dire situation, mentioning flames and smoke that left them fearing for their lives as they sought refuge in a locked room. The incident claimed the lives of eleven individuals. However, Amir's heroic efforts contributed to the rescue of about 50 people. In response to the calamity, investigative teams are probing the incident.
