FAISALABAD: Three alleged dacoits were killed in an encounter in Roshanwali Jhal on the Samundri Road on Sunday night. Five dacoits, including Jehanzaib, Ali Haider and Dilawar of Elahiabad, were robbing people. On seeing the police, the dacoits opened fire. Police also retaliated. FAISALABAD: Three alleged dacoits were killed in an encounter in Roshanwali Jhal on the Samundri Road on Sunday night. Five dacoits, including Jehanzaib, Ali Haider and Dilawar of Elahiabad, were robbing people. On seeing the police, the dacoits opened fire. Police also retaliated. Jehanzaib, Ali Haider and Dilawar were killed on the spot while their two accomplices managed to escape.
Meanwhile, parents and relatives of the three killed dacoits staged a demonstration when police brought their bodies to Elahiabad. They blocked the Satiana Road and protested against the police. They demanded a judicial inquiry into the incident and suspension of the policemen who took part in the encounter.
