Naqvi felicitates Sikh yatrees

LAHORE: Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has extended congratulations to the Sikh community on the auspicious occasion of Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji's birth anniversary.

The chief minister acknowledged Baba Guru Nanak as a beacon of love, peace, and brotherhood, emphasising the profound impact of Guru Nanak's teachings on spreading messages of love, equality, and compassion to humanity. Guru Nanak Dev Ji, according to Naqvi, stands as an exemplar of religious tolerance and interfaith harmony.

Welcoming over 3,000 Sikh devotees from around the world to Punjab for the celebrations, Mohsin Naqvi highlighted the government's dedicated efforts in ensuring the best arrangements for the convenience of Sikh yatrees.

Condoles death of polio workers

The chief minister expressed deep grief over the tragic demise of two polio workers in a traffic accident in Rawalpindi. Offering heartfelt sympathy and condolences, Mohsin Naqvi extended his support to the aggrieved families of the deceased polio workers.

He directed that the injured polio workers be given the best available treatment. He instructed the RPO Rawalpindi to furnish a thorough report detailing the circumstances surrounding the accident.

Condemns Bakakhel suicide attack

The chief minister condemned the suicide attack targeting the security forces' convoy in the Bakakhel area of Bannu. Expressing deep regret over the loss of two lives in the blast, Mohsin Naqvi extended heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the families of the martyrs.

The chief minister prayed for the swift recovery of the three soldiers and others injured in the suicide attack. He affirmed that the entire nation stands in solidarity with the bereaved families and the injured.
