Two robbers held after being injured in encounter
LAHORE:Two suspected robbers were arrested after being injured in a police encounter in the Johar Town area.
Reportedly, three suspected motorcyclists had snatched cash and mobile phone from a citizen and were on run. The victims alerted police on 15 helpline. Responding to the call, a team responded and signaled to stop three suspected motorcyclists. However, they resorted to firing. In exchange of firing, two suspects identified as Asif Maseeh and Danish Maseeh were shot at and injured. The third suspect fled the scene.
Three bike thieves arrested
Three members of a bike thief gang were arrested by Hanjarwal Police. The arrested suspects were identified as Akram, Imran and Azam. Police also recovered five bikes from their custody. The suspects were involved in many incidents of bike theft, snatching and robbery. In another incident, Faisal Town police arrested two members of the bike-lifting gang. The arrested suspects were identified as Atif and Ejaz. They were arrested from a ground near Kotha Pind. Five bikes and illegal weapons were recovered from their custody. Meanwhile, a suspect was arrested for displaying illegal weapons by Chuhng police. The arrested suspect was identified as Talib Hussain. The suspect was involved in display of illegal arms to harass people. Police arrested the suspect and recovered kalashnikov and bullets from their custody.
Imposter arrested at licencing centre
A suspect appearing for driving test in place of his friend at Liberty Licencing Centre was arrested. Reportedly, Farukh Ejaz had appeared in test in place of his friend Usman. He was behaving suspiciously. On which a traffic warden applied for his bio-metric verification that did not match with his CNIC. Police arrested both suspects and also registered a case against them.
