CHARSADDA: The police on Saturday claimed to have killed a hardened militant in an encounter in the district.
They said after receiving information about presence of militants, a police party raided an under-construction house in Hussainabad area on the Peshawar road.
They said the militant and his accomplices fired at the police party. They said the police returned the fire in which a militant identified as Farmanullah alias Farmanay was killed while his other accomplices managed to escape. They said that Farmanullah was wanted by the law enforcers in various acts of terrorism and other anti-social activities.
