Three Jammu & Kashmir varsities ranked among top 750 Asian universities
MUZAFFARABAD: Only three universities in the entire State of Jammu and Kashmir secured their place in 2023-24 QS Asia Ranking.
Poonch University was ranked between 501-550, University of Kashmir Srinagar was ranked between 501-600 and University of Jammu was ranked between 701-750 universities in Asia.
One of the most credible and internationally accepted criteria to judge the scientific and scholarly standing of a university is the QS Asia University Rankings. It is an annual ranking of universities in Asia conducted by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS).
It evaluates universities based on various criteria, including academic reputation, employer reputation, faculty/student ratio, international research network and citations per paper. The ranking provides insights into the performance of universities in the Asian region, helping students and researchers make informed decisions about higher education institutions.
