ISLAMABAD: The Forum of Information Group Secretaries (FIGS) thanked caretaker Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar for posting BPS-22 officer of the Information Group (IG), Shahera Shahid, as federal secretary, Information and Broadcasting (I&B).
In a letter to the Prime Minister by former federal secretary I&B, Khawaja Ijaz Sarwar on Sunday said that the action would infuse a new spirit amongst the IG officers.
The letter has been penned on behalf of the former federal secretaries of I&B and it said that her appointment comes at a critical juncture when general elections have been scheduled for February 8, 2024.
“It will not only send a clear signal to the media that the caretaker government is keen to cultivate cordial relations with it but also earn their goodwill,” the letter stated.
