PPP claims PMLN workers attacked its corner meeting
LAHORE: PPP Lahore leader Faisal Mir has demanded immediate action against PMLN workers for attacking a corner meeting in NA 127.
Faisal Mir in a statement issued on Sunday alleged that PMLN workers had attacked a PPP rally in NA 127 and said the PML-N should refrain from adopting such tactics.
He also accused the Punjab administration for supporting the PMLN and warned the PPP would stage a sit in outside Green Town police station if the elements behind the incident were not arrested.
Meanwhile, PMLN’s Ajmal Hashmi, former chairman from Township, said no clash had occurred. Reacting to the PPP statement, he said Faisal Mir was playing dirty tricks to get a PPP ticket for next elections. Hashmi said the PMLN was a peaceful party and believed in political activity and there was no reason to interrupt the political activities of other parties.
