Khattak blames rulers for country’s problems
PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Parliamentarians (PTIP) head Pervez Khattak on Sunday said that the problems of the country had increased over the years and political leadership had no vision to pull it out of crises.
Speaking at a press conference here, Khattak said the people were joining the PTIP due to its popularity. Jamaat-e-Islami leader from Nowshera Muhammad Bashir Khan along with family members and supporters joined the PTIP on the occasion.
Pervez Khattak said that people from various political parties were joining the PTIP, which showed that people trust the party and its leadership.
He said that those who had ruled the country for 75 years have ignored the masses’ problems and didn’t put the country on the track of development.
“The people have been suffering from inflation and price-hike due to the wrong policies of rulers,” he added.
He said his party would restore the voters’ confidence that the PTIP would resolve their problems. He said his party was in contact with other political parties for seat adjustment.
Muhammad Bashir said he had been associated with the JI for a long time and was the party candidate for the PK-89. He said the KP-89 constituency was created and that local leaders of all parties were happy with the development but held an all-parties conference to convince their respective leadership.
He said he was given the chair of the conference. As the JI didn’t agree with the conference outcome, he said he could not go against the locals’ wishes and decided to quit the party.
