MINGORA: Four tourists were killed and 16 others sustained injuries when their vehicle plunged into a ravine in Kalam area in Swat Valley on Saturday.
The local police said that the tourists were going back from Kalam when their vehicle skidded off the road and fell into a gorge in Pashmal area due to a bumpy road.They said that four tourists identified as Waqas, Muhammad Abdullah, Atif and another person, whose name could not be ascertained, were killed on the spot.
The police added that 16 other tourists were also injured in the accident.The injured were shifted to a local hospital. The tourists belonged to Punjab, who had come to enjoy the scenic Swat Valley.
