ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar Friday chaired a special session of the SIFC Apex Committee here.
Chief of Army Staff Gen Asim Munir, ministers and high level government officials attended the event, the PM media wing said in a statement.
The committee reviewed the existing level of collaboration and unanimously approved various initiatives to be broached with friendly countries and directed fast-track implementation of various projects conceived under these initiatives.
Kakar appreciated the efforts of the ministries concerned for identifying prospective areas of collaboration and directed all the stakeholders for realisation of envisioned long-term economic dividends. The army chief assured the participants of the army’s unwavering resolve to the support economic initiatives being undertaken by the government.
